Jay County hadn't done well against Hagerstown recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Patriots walked away with a 6-2 win over the Tigers. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered an 11-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Zedrian Vazquez tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Carter Fugiett, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Wyatt Foster was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run.

Jay County's record is now 6-9. As for Hagerstown, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-6.
