Research Triangle scored the most points they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 73-62 to the Wake Prep Academy Guardians. The contest was a 30-30 toss-up at halftime, but the Raptors couldn't quite close it out.

Sam Griffith and Akash Immani certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Griffith posted 19 points and five boards, while Immani put up 24 points. The matchup was Griffith's third in a row with at least 19 points.

Leading Wake Prep Academy to victory were Shawn Amadike and Josh Bracey. Amadike went 8 of 13 en route to 21 points, while Bracey went 10 for 17 on his way to 22 points. Another player making a difference was David Patrick, who scored six points and 11 rebounds.

Research Triangle is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13. As for Wake Prep Academy, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

Research Triangle didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-59 win against Falls Lake on the 30th. As for Wake Prep Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-44 victory against East Wake Academy on the 31st.
