Recap: Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) vs. Southwest Dragons
The Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) lost against the Southwest Dragons back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Uvalde took a 46-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southwest. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Uvalde in their matchups with Southwest: they've now lost eight in a row.
Lillian Covarrubias continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Southwest, scoring 19 points along with 3 steals. The match was Covarrubias' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Paris Alaquinez, who scored 8 points along with 5 steals.
Uvalde's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Southwest, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
