Basketball Recap: Branson Takes a Loss

After flying high against Lebanon last Saturday, Branson came back down to earth. The Branson Pirates fell to the Republic Tigers 75-69. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Branson fell to 2-1. As for Republic, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Branson will take on Fair Grove in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Republic and Hillcrest will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
