            Volleyball Recap: Edison Tigers vs. Sanger West Hornets        
        
		
        
        
            If Edison was feeling good  fresh off their  3-0 takedown of Madera on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the Sanger West Hornets by a score of  3-2 on Thursday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won  3-1.
 Edison took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-13, 21-25, 20-25, 25-15,  15-7.
 Leading Sanger West to victory were  Julia Gonzalez and  Kianna Charfauros.  Gonzalez  had 13  digs and six  aces, while  Charfauros  had 12  digs and two  aces. Those  six  aces gave  Gonzalez a new career-high.
Edison has  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-18 record  this season. As for Sanger West, their record is now 20-16.
 Looking ahead, Edison will square off against Hoover at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sanger West, they will head out to  face off against Madera  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
