Recap: Dillon Christian Warriors vs. Southeastern Christian Academy Warriors

The Dillon Christian Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They lost to Southeastern Christian Academy at home by a decisive 69-55 margin. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Dillon Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Thompson Stone, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Stone hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Sean Locklear was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.

Southeastern Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Grady Price, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Eric Nyberg, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.

Dillon Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Southeastern Christian Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Dillon Christian's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Conway Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. As for Southeastern Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Liberty Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 491st, while Southeastern Christian Academy is ranked 200th).
