Baseball Game Preview: Scranton Knights vs. West Scranton Invaders

The Scranton Knights will head out on the road to face off against the West Scranton Invaders at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Scranton easily dispatched Delaware Valley on Monday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Knights fell just short of Scranton Prep by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Cavaliers: they've now lost three in a row.

Adrian Hernandez and Erick Guerrero stepped up to the plate in a big way. Hernandez went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Guerrero went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, West Scranton came up short against Valley View on Friday and fell 5-1.

West Scranton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julian Poniatowski, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

Scranton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for West Scranton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.

Everything went Scranton's way against West Scranton in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, as Scranton made off with a 12-5 victory. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Invaders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
