Softball Recap: Lincoln County Falcons vs. Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles
While Lincoln County put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Shelbyville Central. The Lincoln County Falcons put the hurt on the Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles with a sharp 13-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Falcons needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.
Ava Harris and Brenna Edwards were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Harris tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Edwards pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits Harris has allowed since back in April of 2024. At bat, Harris scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Edwards went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Edwards launched this season.
In other batting news, Hana Corder was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brinley Moran, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
