Football Preview: Winslow Bulldogs vs. Crismon Rattlers
The Winslow Bulldogs will take on the Crismon Rattlers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Winslow's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Crismon has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Winslow is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Ganado at home to the tune of 49-6 on Friday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Joseph Guerrero had a dynamite game for Winslow, picking up 119 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Guerrero's longest reception was for an incredible 72 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Gino Quinones, who threw for 121 yards and two touchdowns on only eight passes.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Winslow was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 295 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 169 rushing yards in three consecutive games.
Winslow wouldn't let Ganado keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Aiden Martinez, Seleti Serious, and Serious picked up one apiece.
Meanwhile, Crismon beat Gilbert Christian 30-21 on Friday.
Winslow now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Crismon, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
