Recap: Mountain View Lobos vs. Canutillo Eagles
The Mountain View Lobos waltzed into Saturday's match with three straight wins but they left with four. They enjoyed a cozy 49-34 win over Canutillo. This was payback for Mountain View, who suffered a 61-32 loss the last time these two teams met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mountain View to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jisell Huizar, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bresais Escalante, who scored 12 points.
Mountain View is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Canutillo, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View will take on Austin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Canutillo, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Horizon at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Horizon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1240th, while Canutillo is ranked 589th).
