Basketball Game Preview: Jeff Davis Yellowjackets vs. Toombs County Bulldogs + Official Tickets

The Jeff Davis Yellowjackets will head out on the road to take on the Toombs County Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Jeff Davis is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight games dating back to last season on Monday. They took a blow against Camden County, falling 74-34. The Yellowjackets were down 63-28 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Toombs County came up short against Turner County on Monday and fell 48-39. The loss was the Bulldogs' first of the season.

Jeff Davis will have to keep a close watch on Cornelius Bullard, Jr. and Parker Stanley, a pair of players who had a big impact on Toombs County's prior game. Bullard, Jr. dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Stanley posted seven points along with six blocks and five boards. The game was Bullard, Jr.'s third in a row with at least 16 points.

Jeff Davis' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Toombs County, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Jeff Davis didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Toombs County in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 55-51 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
