Volleyball Recap: Simi Valley Takes a Loss

The Simi Valley Pioneers came up short against the Castaic Coyotes on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-10, 25-17.

Alex Longmore paced Simi Valley's offense, picking up four kills. Longmore got some help from Kira Blakemore and her two assists. Blakemore was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Simi Valley now has a losing record of 1-2.

Simi Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Canyon on the 21st. As for Castaic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Taft on the 27th.
