            Basketball Recap: Llano Yellowjackets vs. Jarrell Cougars        
        
		
        
        
            Llano won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune  on Tuesday. They were dealt  a  75-36 defeat at the hands of the Jarrell Cougars. The Yellowjackets haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
 When it comes to explaining why Llano lost, don't look at  Amelia Robinson. Despite the final result, she  posted 12 points.  Kenna Moore was another key player,  putting up seven  points.
 Jarrell found their leader in sophomore  Aniya Taylor, who  shot 5-for-9 from deep and  almost  dropped  a double-double on 26 points and nine  steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which  Taylor has scored at least a third of Jarrell's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Erica Taylor, who  went 7 of 12  on her way to 17 points along with five  assists and three  steals.
Llano's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Jarrell, their victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 14-5.
 Llano will have a little extra prep time after the  defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lampasas at 11:55  a.m.  on December 28th. As for Jarrell, they will be taking part in a tournament against Southwest  at 10:30  a.m.  on December 27th.
