 The Beech Grove Hornets will face off against the West Vigo Vikings at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Both teams come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Beech Grove proved they can win big  in their third game  on Saturday (they won by eight) but  on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  5-3  win over Warren Central. The  victory was familiar territory for Beech Grove who now have three in a row.
 Meanwhile, West Vigo had to endure  a  three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Cloverdale 13-2. That looming  13-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for West Vigo yet this  season.
 The team  relied heavily on  Jaleigh Lindley, who  fired off two  home runs, five  RBI,  and three  runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Arina Elkins, who  scored four  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Beech Grove's win was  their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.5 runs per game. As for West Vigo, they now  have a winning record of 4-3.
