Grassfield has gone 9-1 against Hickory recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Grassfield Grizzlies will get right back to it and host the Hickory Hawks at 7:30 p.m.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 70-36, which was the final score in Grassfield's tilt against Glen Allen on Thursday. The contest marked the Grizzlies' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Hickory hadn't done well against Great Bridge recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Hickory walked away with a 50-43 win over Great Bridge. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Grassfield now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Hickory, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-7.

Grassfield was able to grind out a solid win over Hickory in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 62-51. Does Grassfield have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hickory turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
