Volleyball Recap: Pepperell Takes a Loss

Pepperell was the 2-0 winner over Haralson County when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Dragons fell 2-0 to the Rebels on Thursday.

While Pepperell had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21.

Kaitlyn House paced Pepperell's offense, picking up four kills. House got some help from Hannah Smith and her five assists. Vanesa Esqueda controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Pepperell's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 12-10. As for Haralson County, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 11-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pepperell will head out to face off against Darlington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Haralson County, they will venture away from home to take on Heard County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
