Naselle and Wahkiakum are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Comets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mules at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Naselle barely beat Oakville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Comets never let the Acorns get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory on Friday. Considering the Comets have won four matches by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Wahkiakum narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Ocosta 5-4.

Emory Filkowski tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cooper Carlson, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Carlson is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Matthew Wills was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Naselle's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Wahkiakum, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Everything went Naselle's way against Wahkiakum in their previous matchup back in March, as Naselle made off with a 12-2 win. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Mules have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
