Basketball Game Preview: Heritage Eagles vs. Legacy Lightning

Heritage is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 85-58 victory over Bear Creek.

Trystan Rangel continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 10 of 16 on his way to 24 points and three steals. Those 24 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Chaney, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 20 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Legacy was able to grind out a solid win over Erie on Wednesday, taking the game 65-53.

Heritage better keep an eye on Jaedon Ward. He was instrumental in Legacy's win, going 8 of 15from beyond the arc on his way to 30 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ari Harpring, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 boards.

Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Legacy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Heritage has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 25.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Legacy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.3 boards.
