For the second straight game, McDowell will face off against Asheville. The Titans will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. McDowell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

Last Tuesday, McDowell came up short against Asheville and fell 10-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Titans in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost eight in a row.

McDowell saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keller Bradley, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Jacob Davis was another, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

The win made it two in a row for Asheville and bumps their season record up to 10-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for McDowell, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
