Football Recap: Trinity Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Trinity Christian lost against Liberty Christian back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Trojans had to suffer through a 63-17 loss at the hands of the Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 540th, while the Warriors are ranked 54th).

Although Trinity Christian took the loss, they still got scores from Campbell Laible and Jude Tredennick.

Leading Liberty Christian to victory were Quinn Murphy and Correll Buckhalter. Murphy threw for 332 yards and five TDs while completing 82.4% of his passes, while Buckhalter gained 157 total yards and three touchdowns. That's the most passing yards Murphy has posted since back in September of 2024. Graham Nixon was another key player, picking up 106 receiving yards and one score.

Trinity Christian now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Liberty Christian, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian will host Legacy Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans' defense better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 29 points per game this season. As for Liberty Christian, they will be playing at home against West Plains at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves' defense has only allowed 11 points per game this season, so the Warriors' offense will have their work cut out for them.
