Football Recap: Polo Comes Up Short

Polo's last matchup with Putnam County could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Panthers were outmatched by the Midgets and fell 41-14. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Midgets: they've now lost eight in a row.

Putnam County found their leader in sophomore Corbin Campbell-Johnson, who rushed for 111 yards and two TDs on only five carries. With that strong performance, Campbell-Johnson is now averaging an impressive 100.5 rushing yards per game.

Polo's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Putnam County, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Looking ahead, Polo will venture away from home to take on Marceline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Putnam County, they will host Scotland County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
