Soccer Recap: Macomb Takes a Loss

Macomb lost against Beardstown back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bombers lost 6-1 to the Tigers. While losing is never fun, Macomb can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 421st, while Beardstown are ranked 187th).

Macomb's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Beardstown, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3-2.

Coming up, Macomb will square off against Abingdon/Avon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beardstown, they will face off against Athens at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
