Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Leah Romano and Keely Bowen Lead St. Laurence to Victory

St. Laurence won the last time they faced Reavis and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Vikings came out on top against the Rams by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant St. Laurence was: they took both sets by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-8.

St. Laurence was led to victory by Keely Bowen and Leah Romano. Bowen had 13 assists and three digs, while Romano had seven aces and four digs. Bowen has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last 15 times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: St. Laurence was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.

St. Laurence's record now sits at 21-8. As for Reavis, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-14.

St. Laurence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against St. Francis on the 16th. As for Reavis, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Shepard on the 16th.
