Volleyball Recap: Powell Falls Short Against Ranked Cody + How To Watch

Powell faced Cody in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Broncs. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Broncs recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Powell was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-22, 25-12.

Kaedenze Carter paced Powell's offense, picking up eight kills. Carter got some help from Leah Graham and her 13 assists. Graham was also a major player on defense: she and Hali Hancock shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with three each.

McKenna Kondelis was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 13 digs. Those 13 digs gave her a new career-high.

Powell's loss dropped their record down to 16-14-1. As for Cody, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 29-2.

Powell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Lovell on the 23rd. As for Cody, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Worland on the 23rd.
