Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Cougars vs. Delaware County Christian Knights
After flying high against the Gloucester County Christian Conquerors last Friday, the Calvary Christian Academy Cougars came back down to earth. The New Year welcomed Calvary Christian Academy with a 57-26 whooping from Delaware County Christian on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Calvary Christian Academy has scored all season.
Delaware County Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caleb Jameson, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 2 assists. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Khamai Orange, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Calvary Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Delaware County Christian, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Calvary Christian Academy will challenge Upper Bucks Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Upper Bucks Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Delaware County Christian, they will be playing at home against Faith Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Faith Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 matches -- so hopefully Delaware County Christian likes a good challenge.
