Volleyball Recap: Nashville Christian Comes Up Short

If Nashville Christian was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mount Juliet Christian Academy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell just short of the University School of Nashville Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2018.

Nashville Christian started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 18-25, 26-24, 25-13, 15-12.

Nashville Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. University School of Nashville's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Nashville Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Hendersonville on the 6th. As for University School of Nashville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Hillsboro on the 6th.
