Baseball Recap: Ridgevue Takes a Loss

Ridgevue and Middleton squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Ridgevue had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-0. The Warhawks have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Preston Wade was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

Ridgevue's loss dropped their record down to 13-12-1. As for Middleton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

While Ridgevue had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
