Baseball Recap: Discovery Canyon Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Discovery Canyon extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 13-4 in the process. They were the clear victors by a 16-4 margin over the Palmer Ridge Bears. Considering the Thunder have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Eoin Adams looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cole Teltschik, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and one double while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. That's the most home runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Ross, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Discovery Canyon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.

As for Palmer Ridge, they dropped their record down to 3-15 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. Bears fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Discovery Canyon since on Tuesday.

On Palmer Ridge's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jameson Wheeler, who went 1-for-4 with one home run. That home run was Wheeler's first of the season.

Discovery Canyon will have a chance to go back-to-back against Palmer Ridge: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
