Baseball Game Recap: Centennial Broncos vs. Thurston-Cuming County

Centennial extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to ten on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-9. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to Thurston-Cuming County, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. If the Broncos were looking for revenge after losing 6-0 to Thurston-Cuming County when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Thurston-Cuming County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games.

For Thurston-Cuming County's part, the team relied heavily on Bryan Godinez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Thurston-Cuming County is undefeated when Godinez posts two or more runs, but 2-6 otherwise. Ryan Tremayne also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
