Cinco Ranch's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Morton Ranch. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Mavericks are ranked 512th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Seven Lakes got the win against Morton Ranch on Saturday by a conclusive 3-0. Considering the Spartans have won seven matches by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Cinco Ranch pushed their record up to 6-4-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three games. As for Seven Lakes, their victory bumped their record up to 12-0-1.
