Brookfield Central and Brookfield East are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. Brookfield Central will bounce into Monday's matchup after beating Menomonee Falls, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Lancers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Phoenix on Friday, sneaking past 6-5.

The team relied heavily on Maya Fall, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Lexi Eichhorn was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Brookfield East's offense. They fell just short of Hamilton by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Spartans were not able to get on the board.

Brookfield Central pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 6.25 runs across that stretch. As for Brookfield East, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3.
