Basketball Recap: Atkins Comes Up Short

Atkins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Dudley Panthers, falling 60-15. The match marked the Camels' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Atkins' defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Dudley, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-3.

Atkins will venture away from home to face off against R.J. Reynolds at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Dudley, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Carolina International at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Carolina International knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Dudley likes a good challenge.
