Soccer Game Preview: Walnut vs. Glendora

The Walnut Mustangs will square off against the Glendora Tartans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Walnut's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Walnut is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Diamond Bar on Wednesday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Brahmas by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Glendora's offense. They fell just short of Bonita by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for Glendora in their meetings with Bonita: they've now lost four in a row.

Walnut's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-4. As for Glendora, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10-3.

Walnut beat Glendora by a goal in their previous matchup back in December of 2025, winning 1-0. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Tartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
