Basketball Recap: Mid-Missouri Homeschool's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Carter Lovell. The Mavericks walked away with a 47-38 win over the Des Moines HomeSchool W Warriors on Saturday for which the team can thank Lovell, who went 6-for-9 en route to 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 40.4% three-point shooting accuracy.

Another player making a difference was Jonathan Driscoll, who posted four points in addition to five assists, five boards, and five steals. He is becoming a predictor of Mid-Missouri HomeSchool's success: when he posts at least three steals the team is 4-2 (and 2-6 when he doesn't).

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Des Moines HomeSchool W, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Mid-Missouri HomeSchool will face off against Lebanon HomeSchool at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. Des Moines HomeSchool W does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
