Basketball Recap: JAMARIUS WILSON Key Part of a Team Effort in Lions Win

After losing to Christian Academy the last time they met, Loris decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Loris Lions were the clear victor by a 79-55 margin over the Christian Academy Saints on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Loris got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was JAMARIUS WILSON out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. That's the most boards WILSON has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Stevenson, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 14 points.

Loris smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive rebounds in six consecutive matchups.

Loris' victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Christian Academy, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.

Loris wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 92-57 win against Belton-Honea Path on the 28th. As for Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-53 victory against Charlotte Christian on the 28th.
