Basketball Recap: Locust Fork Drops Highest Score of Season Against Hanceville

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Locust Fork). They claimed a resounding 88-43 win over the Hanceville Bulldogs. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-17.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Locust Fork to victory, but perhaps none more so than Levi White, who went 9 for 13 en route to 27 points and six boards. The contest was White's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicholas Horn, who went 6 of 8 from beyond the arc on his way to 22 points and three steals.

Locust Fork smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Locust Fork pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.0 points per game. As for Hanceville, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.

Locust Fork will take on Jasper at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jasper will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Locust Fork surely won't give up without a fight. Hanceville has already played their next match (against Oak Grove), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
