Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jera Rodriguez and Brynn Ressler Lead Cheyenne Mountain to Victory

Cheyenne Mountain hadn't done well against Palmer Ridge recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Red-Tailed Hawks blew past the Bears 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red-Tailed Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-17, 25-21.

Leading Cheyenne Mountain to victory were Brynn Ressler and Jera Rodriguez. Ressler had 11 digs and four aces, while Rodriguez had 18 assists and six digs. Those 18 assists gave Rodriguez a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Cheyenne Mountain was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are 6-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Cheyenne Mountain now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Palmer Ridge, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Cheyenne Mountain wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against The Classical Academy on the 4th. As for Palmer Ridge, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Lutheran on the 7th.
