Baseball Game Preview: Astronaut War Eagles vs. Brevard HEAT Firehawks

The Astronaut War Eagles will take on the Brevard HEAT Firehawks in a tournament on Monday. Astronaut is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Astronaut fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 8-7.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 19 runs the game before, Brevard HEAT was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They lost 8-0 to Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Astronaut's record now sits at 3-8. As for Brevard HEAT, their record now sits at 2-8.

Astronaut took their win against Brevard HEAT in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 22-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Astronaut since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
