Volleyball Game Preview: R.J. Reynolds Demons vs. Winston Salem Christian Lions

After both having extra time off, the R.J. Reynolds Demons and the Winston Salem Christian Lions will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, R.J. Reynolds turned things around against Glenn on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bobcats.

The victory didn't come easy: Glenn scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 28-26, 16-25, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Winston Salem Christian came tearing into Wednesday's game with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 3-0 win.

Winston Salem Christian's got stronger as the match went on, holding Central Davidson to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-13, 25-8.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-10. As for Winston Salem Christian, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4.

R.J. Reynolds suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Winston Salem Christian when the teams last played last Thursday. Can the Demons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
