            Softball Recap: Daniel Lions vs. Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Daniel had lost five straight on the road, but  on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 10-15 to make it six. They lost  13-1 to the Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Fighting Tigers this season,  with their most recent  loss being a  13-3  defeat  last Tuesday.
 Daniel saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Sam Dean, who  went 1-for-2 with one  RBI.
As for Blue Ridge, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record  this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by seven  runs or more this season.
On Blue Ridge's side,  Kilee Grant tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run over five innings pitched. Grant has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 16 consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Bella Ballenger was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs and five  RBI while going 2-for-4. Those  two  home runs gave  her a new career-high.  Brynlee Bayne was another key player,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double.
As of now, neither Daniel nor Blue Ridge have any future games scheduled.
