Football Recap: Michael Clayton's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Calumet Christian over Hammond Bishop Noll

Calumet Christian lost against Hammond Bishop Noll back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Patriots lost 34-14 to the Warriors. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Michael Clayton, who picked up 100 receiving yards and one score. Clayton was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 50 yards.

Hammond Bishop Noll found their leader in sophomore Jeremiah Patton, who rushed for 250 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per carry.

Calumet Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, their record is now 2-3.

Coming up, Calumet Christian will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Hammond Morton at 3:00 p.m. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, they will venture away from home to face off against Lake Station Edison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
