Soccer Game Preview: Geneva vs. Holy Cross

The Geneva Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Holy Cross Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Geneva is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against John Paul II on Thursday. Neither Geneva nor John Paul II could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Holy Cross' good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 4-0 to John Paul II.

Holy Cross' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. With that draw, Geneva's record moves to 1-5-1.

Everything went Geneva's way against Holy Cross when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as Geneva made off with an 8-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Geneva since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
