Volleyball Recap: Newton-Conover Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Newton-Conover can now relate to. They came up short against the Brevard Blue Devils on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Red Devils just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-12, 25-12.

Leah Cabe was the offensive standout of the contest as she had ten digs.

Newton-Conover's loss dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Brevard, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.

Newton-Conover does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brevard, they will venture away from home to square off against Burns at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
