Baseball Recap: Thornton Fractional South Takes a Loss

Thornton Fractional South lost against Sandburg back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Red Wolves lost 12-2 to the Eagles. The Red Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Thornton Fractional South saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Evans, Jr., who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Evans, Jr. brought in this season.

Thornton Fractional South's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-1. As for Sandburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Thornton Fractional South will welcome Reavis at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Wolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
