Baseball Recap: Classical Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Classical Academy won the last time they faced Maranatha Christian and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Caimans came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 5-1. Winning may never get old, but the Caimans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Chaeton Revilla spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Dylan Perry, who fired off two home runs while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Travis Perry was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.

Dylan wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Classical Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. The Caimans are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more home runs.

Classical Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Maranatha Christian, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-14.

Classical Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
