It was a good run, but Brooklyn Technical unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 54-45 to the John Jay Wolves. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Engineers came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Wolves are ranked 465th).

Brooklyn Technical's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2. As for John Jay, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-9.

Brooklyn Technical wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 66-55 defeat against Achievement First on the 15th. As for John Jay, they will face off against Walter Panas at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
