Recap: Cross Schools Stingrays vs. Varsity Opponent
The Cross Schools Stingrays put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Varsity Opponent, posting a 47-17 win at home.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cross Schools to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reyannah Maldonado, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 steals. Maldonado continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Genesis Wilson was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 6 steals.
Cross Schools' victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Varsity Opponent, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 33 of their last 37 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-74 record this season.
Cross Schools will head out on the road to face off against Holy Trinity Classical Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Varsity Opponent, they will be playing at home against GEO Next Generation at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
