Softball Game Preview: Glendale Nitros vs. Gabrielino Eagles

The Glendale Nitros will face off against the Gabrielino Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Glendale is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Burroughs, falling 16-2.

Glendale saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jade Marquez, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. Fritzy Martinez was another, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. Gabrielino lost 18-4 to South El Monte.

Gabrielino's loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Glendale, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12-1.
