Camarillo waltzed into their game on Saturday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They came out on top against the Northwood Timberwolves by a score of 16-6. Given the Scorpions' advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Timberwolves are ranked 104th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The critical scores for Camarillo came from Stella Alessi and Mya Rei Smith.

Camarillo's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. Nieve Oliver was especially locked on to Northwood's QB and sacked her twice.

Camarillo's victory bumped their record up to 21-1. As for Northwood, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.

Camarillo didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 27-25 defeat against Huntington Beach on the 27th. As for Northwood, they have also already played their next contest, a 28-0 win against University on the 29th.
