Baseball Recap: Sturgeon Bay Takes a Loss

Sturgeon Bay came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-2 to the Southern Door Eagles. The Clippers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 6-2.

Sturgeon Bay saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Patrick Haese, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those stolen bases were Haese's first of the season.

Sturgeon Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Southern Door, the win snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 5-7 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sturgeon Bay will head out to challenge Lena at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Southern Door, they will square off against St. Mary Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
